CELEBRATING MY WOMAN

A woman is an epitome of beauty, wisdom and care. She has climbed the mountains and dived into the ocean; she has matched the steps with every man in the world. So today I celebrate the power of women , their rights and role in our lives and society. But specially, I celebrate my woman ,that’s my momma.

From time immemorial  women have fought for the rights of others, now its her time to get her right realized and get equal participation in the society. Women are the mammoth of power and talent which has yet not been tapped. Well try this, if you want to get a plan, go to a man but if you want it done, go to a woman.

You can choose to call me a feminist and sure I will not hesitate to bow to it. For sure you’ll agree with me that a woman who is educated and has the power to spread awareness in the society; an educated woman is the one who frightens the advocators of taboos and stereotypes that exist in the society.
Therefore today I choose to celebrate my momma. She is  the best thing that ever happened to me. I thank God everyday for blessing me so highly with a gift I can hardly pay back for.

Happy mothers day mum. I owe you all the happiness and the joy you’ve brought me, the sacrifices you’ve made for my sake going to the extent of sacrificing your happiness. I do pray that one day some day as God will be awarding the best mum’s, you be found top most on that list. I admire so much the stregnth that you’ve got. It’s nothing measurable. If I’m to brag of anything, it should be having you.

 I wish I would gift you with the perfect gift for being more than just a mum but most especially my best friend and confidant. In deed mum you’re the best thing that ever happened to me; being the sweetest person I have ever known. While I am still trying to find her that special gift, I welcome any suggestions. I need not count my success as mine as I know there would never have been any success without her. I know of all the chances and opportunities she denied herself to make me come this far. I know dad would be so much proud of you honey. You’re actually the best of the best… Aaah! Hows that supposed to be called? I do love you my woman. 

In deed our mother is one person who makes us realize our dreams. They’re the people in our life who work all day and night and that too, without getting paid for it. Cheers to the existence of this great creature of the universe!

  2. Great post Judy! I’ve always touted my mother and sister as giving me the skills to be a compassionate and kind human being. I’m blessed to have both in my life.

    A mothers love on its own is quite amazing! It is both fierce and gentle, unyielding and enveloping, can make you laugh and cry.
