Death stings the victim only once, but those left behind feel the pain of loss with every passing memory everyday. I remember when I lost my dad at the age of three; I was not old enough to understand he was gone but I knew it will take forever before I ever set my eyes on him again. That was one of my devastating moments because when the funeral was over, it was not over-it had just begun; feeling his absence.
However, worse than despair, worse than the bitterness of death, is hope! Hope that on one bright morning, we shall meet with our beloved friends and family who have slept.
I think the hardest part of losing someone is not having to say goodbye, but rather, it is learning to livd without them. Always trying to fill the void, the emptiness that is left inside your heart when they are gone. And trust me, you will never understand how terrible one feels to lose a father or brother even if you’ve lost a mother. These pains are totally different.
He will swallow death for all time, And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces. And He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth. For the Lord has spoken. -Isaiah 25;8
He will wipe away all tears from their eyes;and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain:the former thigs have passed away.-Revelation 21;4
Friends, what have we to fear when a time is coming when we will mock death since it’s been defeated. You know Christ is telling us that He has the power over death, that He alone has the keys of death and of hades. You know when He comes, all who are in the tombs will hear His voice and will come forth. You remember the story of Lazarus and his sisters Mary and Martha. Christ only said, “Lazarus come forth! ” and lo! He did come forth.
How I long for the time I could tell death, “O grave, where is your victory? O death, where is your string? ”
I’m glad you did find it inspiring. You’re welcome gal.

A very deeply emotional post. Death is inevitable. But living with this truth can become a burden if it is a loved one we have lost. The warmth you displayed with your words in this post are truly encouraging to those who have and are experiencing from this grief. Thank you for this post

First, do take heart even us you go through such a tough moment. I know the thought of her in existence makes the wounds as fresh as today’s. I’m really sorry for the loss of your grandma. Trust me, God still cares for you even when you go through such a tough moment. He’s never changed. He is your comfort and your strength. Hide in Him and shall be well. Soon we shall meet our loved ones whom we had parted with. Very soon.
